Why we process information
We may use personal data to respond to enquiries; discuss Farmiva products, supply, purchasing, partnerships or technology; arrange visits; maintain business correspondence; operate and secure the website; prevent abuse; meet legal or regulatory obligations; establish or defend legal rights; and improve our communications and services.
Depending on the circumstances, processing may be based on your consent, steps requested before a contract, performance of a contract, compliance with law, or Agristech’s legitimate interests where those interests do not override your rights.
Contact forms and email
Contact Form 7 is used to collect website enquiries. Submitted information is sent through the website’s email-delivery service to support@agristech.com. Do not submit passwords, financial credentials, sensitive health information, government identification numbers or confidential trade information through the general form.
AI writing tools
Agristech’s AI writing tools are restricted to authorised WordPress users and are intended to create draft website content. Ordinary visitor contact-form information is not intentionally sent to the AI service. Administrators must not enter personal, confidential or sensitive information into AI prompts. If this practice changes, this notice and the relevant consent process should be updated first.
Service providers and disclosures
Information may be processed by providers supporting website hosting, email delivery, security, backups, forms, analytics if later enabled, and authorised professional advisers. Current infrastructure may include Namecheap hosting and email services, WordPress software and selected WordPress plugins. OpenAI may process administrator-supplied prompts when an authorised user activates the AI writing feature. Providers should receive only the information reasonably required for their services and remain subject to appropriate safeguards.
We may also disclose information when required by law, regulation, court order or competent authority; to protect rights, safety or systems; or in connection with a genuine business reorganisation subject to appropriate safeguards.
International processing
Some technology providers may process information outside Nigeria. Where applicable, Agristech should assess the transfer, provider protections and any mechanism required by Nigerian law before production use.
Retention
We intend to keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, legitimate business records, dispute handling, security, and legal or regulatory requirements. Before launch, Agristech should approve a documented retention schedule covering enquiries, unsuccessful proposals, customer or supplier records, security logs and backups.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect personal data. No online system is completely secure. Users should avoid sending sensitive information through general website channels, and Agristech should maintain access controls, updates, backups, malware protection and incident procedures.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law and appropriate identity verification, you may have rights to be informed, request access, correct inaccurate data, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, request erasure, request portability, and complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. Some requests may be limited by legal obligations, third-party rights or legitimate retention needs.
Send privacy requests to support@agristech.com with the subject “Privacy Request”. Do not send unnecessary identity documents with the first message.
Children
This business website is not designed to collect personal data directly from children. A parent or guardian should contact us if they believe a child has submitted personal information.
Changes
We may update this notice when website features, providers or legal requirements change. The revision date will be shown above.
